This is story of the adventures of gluttony and insanity that took place between June 23, 2010 - June 28, 2010. Liezl, Monica and Michelle decided it was the greatest idea to take a food road trip down the coast to LA and San Diego and hit up the spots recommended by the Food Network, friends and family. We visited restaurants seen on Diners, Drive ins and Dives, Best Thing I Ever Ate, and Throwdown. This blog is more of a way for Liezl, Monica and Michelle to remember the good times and good eats. But feel free to enjoy in the pictures of the sites, food and new friends. 5 days, 30 restaurants, and thousands of miles later...here is the tale of the Eat All the Time 2010 Tour.
Liezl: I really don't think people realize how much hard work it is to prepare for such a trip. Weeks of recording Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and the Best Thing I Ever Ate (too bad I never got around to watching them), spending hours (no joke) on YouTube watching old episodes of Food Network travelling shows, printing out maps of various parts of Los Angeles to make driving as effeciently as possible, packing clothes to plan for tummy expansion, etc. Whew...On to the tour!! Oh and on a side note, when you're looking through the pictures, you may notice a change of facial expressions. I start off happy and full of energy and as the trip goes on, I look tired and in belly pain. AWESOME!
monks: prep wise yes...there was lots of planning, lots of wasted paper on google maps...lots of gps and iphone using to get from point to point...last minute youtube watching as we walked in the door of some of these places. overall it was a great trip with my favorite sister and favorite cousin! jk, i meant it was a great trip in spite of it being with my least favorite sister and least favorite cousin! kidding again. all i know is, when i see new places on tv that are in the socal area i get upset that we didn't see it earlier! as soon as doodle, ee and juju can all eat solid foods/eat in the amount us cousins eat/appreciate things like food tours...we will take the the eat all the time tour part 2!!!! for doodle's sake, i hope there's a place with the BEST chochie milk, chicken tenders, pizzba, bolonga sammys, cookies and ice cream! come to think of it...there was this one place that did a fried bolonga sammy...mmmm, ok back to business! enjoy! we did! ten freakin pounds later damnit...
